Zero Carbon Cumbria - Carbon reduction action across the county.

Doing our bit

Are you taking action to reduce your organisation’s carbon emissions? Or are you running activities that help others cut carbon? Then show that you’re part of Cumbria wide efforts to reach net zero emissions – use the Zero Carbon Cumbria Doing our bit logo.

Organisations all over Cumbria are running events and activities that help to tackle climate change. Here are just a few examples:

Showing people how to grow their own food or waste less food

Sessions on re-use and upcycling

Bring & take stalls

Cycle safety course

Planting trees

In fact, anything that helps people to use less fossil fuels (oil, coal and gas), store carbon (eg trees, peat bogs), or reduce other greenhouse gases (like methane from land use).

Maybe climate change wasn’t your main reason for running your event, but if it’s helping people to reduce their carbon footprint in some way, you’re warmly invited to use the Zero Carbon Cumbria Doing our bit! logo.
