If you want to get your facts straight about the latest climate science, develop an understanding of carbon footprints and build your knowledge of what we can all do to limit carbon emissions, join Futureproof Cumbria’s Climate and Carbon Literacy training course!
The course is held over Zoom across two mornings, Wed 25 June and Wed 2 July, at 9:15am to 1:15pm. Your ticket price covers both parts and you must attend both to be eligible for Carbon Literacy certification.
Delivered over Zoom, the training provides a clear understanding of climate science, an awareness of carbon costs and the impacts of everyday activities. It will leave you with the ability and motivation to reduce emissions on an individual, community and organisational basis – it’s also a great way to meet like minded people, businesses and organisations!
Delegates can be certified as ‘Carbon Literate’ by submitting an evidence form, pledging to carry out emission reduction actions. Futureproof Cumbria will support you in submitting your form, which is assessed by the Carbon Literacy Project. Certified delegates will join the rapidly growing movement of over 125,000 certified Carbon Literate citizens worldwide.
You will also leave the course able to begin developing your own action plans and training sessions for others, if you wish to do so.
