If you want to get your facts straight about the latest climate science, develop an understanding of carbon footprints and build your knowledge of what we can all do to limit carbon emissions, join Futureproof Cumbria’s Climate and Carbon Literacy training course!
The course is held over Zoom across two afternoons from 1:15pm to 5:15pm – part 1 is on Tuesday 27 Jan & part 2 on Tuesday 3 February. Your ticket price covers both parts and you must attend both to be eligible for Carbon Literacy certification.
Delegates can be certified as ‘Carbon Literate’ by submitting an evidence form, pledging to carry out emission reduction actions. Futureproof Cumbria will support you in submitting your form, which is assessed by the Carbon Literacy Project. Certified delegates will join the rapidly growing movement of over 125,000 certified Carbon Literate citizens worldwide. Carbon Literacy Action Day is a mass climate education-and-action event coinciding with the UN COP30 Conference, where the Carbon Literacy Project aims to train as many people as possible worldwide in Carbon Literacy.
You will also leave the Carbon Literacy course able to begin developing your own action plans and training sessions for others, if you wish to do so.
Tickets: £79 for individuals, £139 for delegates from organisations, pay-what-you-can tickets available for individuals living, working or studying in Cumbria.
