CAfS are delighted to be delivering this Climate Fresk workshop for Cumbria Tourism, as part of their visioning better movement project. The project seeks to work with partnerships in areas of Westmorland and Furness, to design and implement long-term plans for better movement of visitors. These plans will also have a positive impact on residents and workers, enabling them to travel better.
To help build knowledge and inspire ambition for this project, Climate Fresk workshop is being offered for FREE to all individuals, business or organisation based in one of the following 3 areas:
- Hawkshead and West of Windermere*
- The Langdale Valley
- The Ullswater Valley

- Bowness businesses with a connection to the west shore
Climate Fresk is an extremely interactive group activity where a facilitator uses a pack of cards to support a group of people to map the causes and effects of the climate crisis, and together, through discussion, unpick the complexities, interrelated issues and feedback loops involved. It is a really engaging, collaborative method for understanding the fundamentals of climate science. It uses 42 ‘cards’ drawn directly from the latest IPCC reports and gives a deep dive into the whole climate system. The visual and interactive nature stimulates discussion, debate and group problem-solving. And it is really good fun!
