Community Renewable Energy Event

Thu 29 June @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

An online event for local councils and community groups looking to develop community renewable energy projects.

This event is being hosted by the Cumbrian Association of Local Councils (CALC) and supported by CAfS. Whilst primarily aimed at town and parish councils, we welcome other individuals and community groups who wish to pursue renewable energy projects in their area.

There will be an introduction to community renewable energy, and you’ll hear about the role of local councils in relation to community renewable energy and also find out about the community renewable energy initiatives currently taking place in Cumbria. The event will conclude with a round up of the support available, including a package of specialist consultancy and grant support for community energy projects that is soon to be launched by CAfS – and a Q&A session.

Speakers include Quentin Merritt from Wingspan Consulting, Kate McGibbon from CALC, Sally Lansbury representing Sustainable Keswick and Kewsick Town Council, Janet Battye from Greening Levens Parish Council, and Westmorland & Furness Council, and Molly Hogg from CAfS,

No need to book, just click on this link to join via Teams. Please ensure you have installed the Teams app on your device in advance of the event.
