Getting heard in the media and framing a positive narrative

In this skill-share we will look at ways to make the most of local and regional media opportunities to speak out about the Whitehaven coal mine, connect with audiences and move beyond polarised positions. Instead of fighting facts with facts and pitting one truth against another, we will look at how the issues have been framed in the media and how to understand local views, before moving on to discussing techniques for framing a positive narrative and speaking with confidence about the issue.
