Join Green Screen at The Alhambra Penrith to watch The Happy Man Tree, a film about the importance of local community in making decisions about planning and in preserving the environment. When a group of Hackney locals discover that a property developer has been granted permission by the Council to fell a huge, much-loved 150-year-old street tree which even has its own name, The Happy Man Tree, they do everything they can to try to save it
After the film, there will be a discussion with the filmmaker, Katy McGahan, facilitated by Pete Lesson from the Woodland Trust.
