Introduction to Vermiculture for Early Years Settings

Wed 13 November, 2024 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

This webinar will discuss the benefits of setting up a wormery as a fun and engaging way to educate children about food waste in Early Years Settings in Cumbria. The session will be lead by Anna, Managing Director of The Urban Worm and will cover what worm farming/ vermiculture is, how to keep your worms happy and multiplying, the benefits to plant, soil and health, with examples of worm farms from across the world.
With the Department for Education launching guidance in 2025 encouraging schools to have a climate action plan and sustainability lead, a wormery could be a great contribution to your settings sustainability journey.
