Kendal Repair Cafe is a pop-up event held on the 2nd Thursday of every month (apart from August and December).
Our volunteer repairers will be here to help you repair a whole range of items including:
– clothing (including help with knitting and darning)
– small electricals, jewellery, toys and ceramics
– stringed instruments (IF YOU LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE)
– small wooden items and other household items.
* tech items (laptops, phones hardware and software issues) *
We always repair tech items but for Great Big Green Week we are raising awareness of this service:
– Bring items to donate to be reused
– Got a gadget that is too slow, want help updating software, got a camera or microphone that doesn’t work? Whatever your tech issue our volunteers will do their best to help.
– Plus, find out about the Council’s tech reuse/recycling scheme
What will you bring for repair? Let us know so we can be sure we have the right tools.
- All items brought for repair must be clean and hygienic
- Veggie food available (made with ‘rescued’ food from Waste into Wellbeing) plus hot drinks and cakes available after 5.15pm
- ‘Donate What You Can’ for all repairs and refreshments so please bring cash
- Please note that there is no entry whilst we’re setting up
