Featuring the opening of a new Nature Trail
This event will bring the community together to celebrate work in ‘rewilding’ the Greens over the last 5 years.
There will be a picnic lunch with food and drink available for over 40 people. There will be discussions led by KGCG members + presentations by KCV, Kendal Swifts and Friends of Lake District (tba) + guided nature walks for families + children + art/sketching nature session led by artists. The new Nature Trail will highlight the different species of trees; the hundreds of plants/bulbs; bird + bat boxes; hedgehog hides + bug hotels; and tree trunks that provide natural habitats.
Action on climate change never ends and the event will inspire people to join in this work through regular working parties throughout the year.
