At this event, you’ll work in small groups to map the causes and effects of climate change, sparking conversations about local climate action. No prior knowledge is needed – this course is for everybody.
Led by our expert climate trainer, using a set of photo cards based on the latest climate science, you’ll create a flowchart or “fresk” showing the links between human activity, nature and the social and economic effects. Then, we’ll explore practical ways we can take action on climate for a better Copeland, a better Cumbria and a better world.
This Climate Fresk is an opportunity to have open and inspiring conversations about climate change with other people from your community. You’ll leave the session with the knowledge and confidence to talk about climate change and how you can reduce your impact. You’ll also join the growing community of over 2.3 million Climate Fresk participants from 168 countries.
After the session, there will be an opportunity to tour the Millom Network Centre with the centre manager; discover their brilliant work and explore the composting centre and community garden.
