We know that many people are curious about Growing Well, the activities we undertake with our volunteers and everything that happens on our three Cumbrian sites. So on Sunday 8th June, between 10am – 3pm, we’re inviting anyone and everyone to come and find out for themselves at an Open Day at our Low Sizergh site near Kendal.
Admission to our Open Day is completely free, and the day will be a great opportunity to meet the Growing Well team, find out about what we do and see what’s growing and going on around the farm.
On a ‘field walk’ you will hear about how our team and beneficiaries work to make the best use of the outdoor beds and polytunnels, growing produce for our Crop Share veg box scheme and wholesale customers, you’ll see what’s growing and how the season is going.
There will be plants available to buy, a tombola, a pre-loved book stall, fun activities for children (and grown ups) and refreshments available.
