Sustainable Brampton

Sustainable Brampton is committed to reducing their community’s impact on the environment. The group wants to encourage more people to make use of the resources and businesses available to them locally and to get involved in activities and campaigns, all helping to bring about its vision of a more sustainable future for the area. The group focuses on five key areas: transport, waste, energy, economy and food in an effort to make their community more self reliant. Projects include setting up and supporting community gardens and allotments, organising regular farmers’ markets, exploring the idea of green community energy and setting up cycling, walking and public transport groups.
