As part of Cumbria’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2037, we need to reduce transport-related emissions by 93%. One key way to achieve this is by encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). However, we understand that people face challenges in making the switch, such as concerns over cost, infrastructure, and unfamiliar technology.
To help Cumbrians navigate these obstacles, CAfS have launched Electric Vehicles Made Easy, a project offering resources, information, and support for individuals and communities considering electric vehicles. Our goal is to empower more people to confidently transition to EVs.
Working with Electricity NorthWest, they are gathering valuable insights through their short survey to better understand the barriers and concerns people have. The feedback will help shape local solutions, and participants will be entered into a prize draw for a £50 voucher to Basecamp North Lakes.
A free webinar will take place on 21 October to provide advice on EVs, offering practical answers to common questions about costs, charging points, and long-term benefits.
