This years Youth Climate Summit was held at Whitehaven Academy in July 2024, with 16 schools in attendance.
The theme was biodiversity, and various workshops were held which explored these subjects, including a look at recycling and reusing, an outdoor session nature journaling, and biodiversity recording.
Other projects were available throughout the day, including a ‘speakers corner’ to develop and hear ideas and concerns from young people, a keynote presentation from Amy Bray from Another Way, and a ‘pledge tree’ with thoughts, ideas and plans for the future.
