The latest Zero Carbon Cumbria Partnership meeting asked participants to take part in two breakout sessions that explored the future of the partnership and reviewed the priorities for after 2025.
After a welcome from the co-chair Karen Mitchell, the first breakout room asked participants to review the Partnership as it currently is. Questions were asked about the current strengths of the Partnership, what might not be going as well, and what participants get from being a member. The answers were varied and the discussion lively, and reviewing this will be the subject of a future report.
After a short feedback sessions, the second breakout room looked at the future strategy – how can Zero Carbon Cumbria work? Participants here examined themes such as communication, co-facilitation and the possible influencing of decision making, or policy making. Although the discussion was varied, there were common themes, and these will form the basis for further strategic thinking and planning.
